Answers to the most common questions. If yours isn't here, get in touch — I read every message.
- Do I need a smart scale?
- No. Tap “Add weight” on Today and type a weight in kilograms, stones and pounds, or pounds. It is kept exactly as you typed it.
- Which scales work with the app?
- The app reads smart scales that send their weight over Bluetooth without pairing, starting with the Luma Bella and scales built the same way. More scales are on the way: if yours isn't recognised, send me its make and model.
- A weigh-in is wrong. How do I remove it?
- Open it in your history and tap “Leave out”, with a reason. It stops counting in your trend and goals, and is removed from Apple Health if the app saved it there. You can bring it back at any time, or delete left-out weigh-ins for good in Settings → Advanced.
- How do I bring in my earlier weights from Apple Health?
- In Settings → Apple Health, connect Health and turn on “Include weights from other apps”. Those weights are added to your history but never changed or deleted in Health; turn the switch off to hide them again.
- Why is my trend weight different from my latest weigh-in?
- Your weight moves from day to day with water, food and timing. The trend weight smooths out those ups and downs so you can see the real direction. Tap the small question mark next to any figure to see how it is worked out.
- Does the Apple Watch app need my iPhone?
- No. On the Watch you can weigh in, see your trend and goal, and share your progress. Readings move between the Watch and the iPhone when they can reach each other.
